Make-up Sessions

To Host a Hybrid Course Review or Make- Up Session:

Contact informing them of the date and time you would like to host your make-up.  The Hybrid team will touch base with you and make the arrangements to reserve the hybrid classroom for you and add an “occurrence” to the class Zoom meeting dates to accommodate for the additional session.  The Hybrid team will also make sure a TA is available to support the room technologies and students attending remotely via zoom on the make-up date.  You do not need to create your own zoom meeting ID for review or make-up sessions, the students will use the Zoom link associated with your course that is available on your Blackboard site.

ZOOM for Snow Days:

Zoom is available for Bentley academic use including snow days and virtual office hours. If you would like to use Zoom, go to https://bentley.zoom.usand sign in with your Bentley credentials (Bentley email address and network password).

All Bentley faculty have a Zoom account. As many of you know, Zoom is an online meeting platform that allows you and other participants – Bentley students, other faculty, or even non-Bentley colleagues – to easily share screens while communicating with audio and video. You just need a microphone and earbuds or headset, and a webcam.

If you are teaching a hybrid course, the Zoom link is already in your Blackboard site – you should NOT create a new link.

Up to 100 users can attend an event at once, and you can view up to 25 participants’ webcams at once. If you need to run an event with more than 100 users, please contact the ATC.

Students do not need to have their own Zoom account to attend an event that you have created – they simply click on a link to join the event.

Here are basic instructions for creating a Zoom event, notifying participants, and starting/using the event:
